We prioritize privacy by design. Slop operates primarily on a peer-to-peer basis, meaning the majority of your data (such as terminal commands and output) flows directly between your devices without passing through our servers. However, we do collect limited information to facilitate connections and improve our services.

1.1. Personal Information

When you create an account or subscribe to our services, we may collect:

• Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials (handled via third-party providers like Google/Firebase).
• Payment Information: Transaction history and subscription status (processed securely by Apple App Store; we do not store credit card details).

1.2. Usage and Device Data

We may collect non-personal information about your device and how you use the App, including:

• Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• App usage statistics (e.g., session duration, feature usage) via analytics tools like Mixpanel.
• Crash reports and performance logs to help us identify and fix bugs.

1.3. Connection Data (Signaling)

To establish a peer-to-peer connection between your devices, limited technical data (such as IP addresses and ICE candidates) must be exchanged through our signaling servers. This data is ephemeral and is strictly used to set up the direct connection. It is not stored permanently.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To Provide Service: Facilitating secure connections between your devices and managing your account/subscription.
• To Improve the App: Analyzing usage patterns to optimize performance and user experience.
• To Communicate: Sending important updates, support responses, or administrative notices.
• To Ensure Security: Verifying identity and preventing fraud or unauthorized access.

3. Zero Logs Policy

Slop is designed with a "Zero Logs" philosophy regarding your terminal activity.

• No Command Logging: We do not record, store, or have access to the commands you execute or the output displayed in your terminal.
• Direct Encryption: All data transmitted between your Host (Mac) and Remote (iPhone) is end-to-end encrypted using industry-standard protocols (e.g., WebRTC, DTLS/SRTP). We cannot decrypt this traffic.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (e.g., Firebase for hosting/auth, Mixpanel for analytics). These vendors are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where user information may be transferred as a business asset.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
